Director | Veterinary Surgeon
Julian began practising as a mixed-animal veterinary surgeon in the mid-1990s and has dedicated most of his career—with three decades of service—to rural North Yorkshire. He is widely known for his work in Thirsk before joining Sandbeck in Wetherby in 2019 as a founding member alongside Mark and Helen.
In addition to his clinical work, Julian is active in public engagement, writing, and education. He is the author of several books on veterinary life and contributes regularly to the Yorkshire Post. He remains active in charitable efforts, supporting organisations such as the Cheetah Conservation Fund and VetMentor. He is an honorary associate professor at Nottingham vet school where he assists with their veterinary outreach work “Vets in the Community”.
Julian’s experience, both in practice and public education, contributes to Sandbeck’s mission of trusted, high-quality veterinary care.
